DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
1.
Perform all work in a safe, workmanlike manner 2.
Responsible for day to day Borough public works activities including but not limited to:
a.
Mowing and maintaining the Borough parks and Borough owned property b.
Maintaining Borough park playground equipment c.
Performing maintenance for water and sewer plants, lines and property d.
Assisting in maintaining records for water and sewer operations e.
Performing water and sewer testing as assigned f.
Reading water meters as assigned g.
Working on Borough construction projects requiring a variety of skills h.
Assisting in maintaining Borough equipment and vehicles i.
Performing repairs and maintenance of Borough roads j.
Performing repairs and maintenance of Borough buildings and property k.
Assisting in snow removal when required 3.
Responsible for various Borough communication activities including:
a.
Maintaining effective communication and working relationships with other Borough employees b.
Communicating on behalf of the Borough with the public, council members and other personnel in an open, friendly and professional manner 4.
Maintain current certifications and licenses 5.
Schedule working hours of consistent 40 hours a week 6.
Weekend work based on employee rotation 7.
Other duties as may be assigned KEY RESULTS:
1.
Maintain effective communication and working relationships with staff, borough employees and patrons.
2.
Follow through efficiently on tasks to completion 3.
Minimal complaints from public JOB QUALIFICATIONS 1.
Good communication and interpersonal skills with strong attention to details 2.
Valid Driver's License 3.
Ability to lift up to 50lbs 4.
Operate safely various equipment and vehicles 5.
