30 an hour 3 days ago 3 days ago 3 days ago Kalas Manufacturing is seeking a professional manufacturing Production Assistant for our 1st shift operation in Denver, PA.
The successful candidate will have a high aptitude for inventory management and technical/computer skills.
This professional, under the leadership of the Production Manger, will oversee the manufacturing operations in our Bulk Wire Division.
The Production Assistant will ensure that high quality products are made in an efficient and safe environment.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Essential Functions) Assumes the authority of the shift as required by the supervisor as well as in absence of supervisor.
Ensures all quality and safety procedures and production processes are being met during the during runs.
Provides the ok to start checks as well as ensuring all samples are signed off and verified.
Verifies lines speeds are being met, and report variances in line speeds and outputs.
(add to super) Assists in taking daily and all physical inventories.
Enters all packing slips into AX for shipments received during the shift.
Run negative inventory reports and correct negatives that occurred during the shift.
Plays a key role in investigating and providing root causes of defects as well as providing corrective actions.
Verifies all production order paperwork against the transactions that have been entered into system and make corrections as needed.
Is familiar with all the procedures and methods of operations and troubleshoot processing and product problems.
Assists in maintaining the integrity of the ISO quality system.
Conducts Daily shift huddles Assists in maintaining the PM programs.
Completes production logs as necessary (Downtime and safety observation).
Assists in on-the-job training of new operators to help them learn the necessary skills and procedures to perform the job.
Contributes input to employee appraisals.
Set job assignments and crew size to improve work balance, flow and efficiency.
Schedule manufacturing orders for pull type production for all work areas.
Additional overtime may be required.
Serves as called upon on process improvement teams.
Assists supervisor to assure plant cleanliness and orderliness to ensure an efficient flow of materials throughout the plant.
Be familiar with plant equipment's proper functions and operations, performing minor maintenance as permitted.
Receives and maintains CPR/First Aid certification.
Receives and maintains tow motor operator certification.
Aware of Kalas' environmental policy and what it means to them.
Aware of their significant environmental aspects and knows how to mitigate or eliminate the environmental impacts associated with them.
Observes all company housekeeping and safety rules.
Meet company attendance policies as outlined in the employee handbook.
Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION High school diploma or equivalent.
EXPERIENCE Minimum 2 years manufacturing experience Job Type:
